The female sloth gives birth to 1 offspring a year while hanging from a tree limb. The baby hooks its claws into the hairs on its mother’s belly.Facts: Sloths spend almost their entire lives hanging upside down from branches of trees in the rain forest canopy. They eat, sleep, mate, give birth, and sometimes even die in this position.
